He Weeps for You
Introduction:
I’m Pete. God loves you!
The topic today: He weeps for you (He being Jesus). This message is offered to two groups: First, those who care about Jesus, but don’t feel His sympathy right now. Second, those hardening their hearts toward God and Jesus, oblivious to eternal hell.
To both groups:
Jesus knows where you’re at. He left Heaven and came down to earth to be born of a human, experiencing life in a human body like us. He can sympathize, and understands temptation.
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16 ESV
So, whether you’re hurting, and wondering if Jesus even cares, He does. And if you’ve given up on resisting temptation, don’t. He resisted temptation for the times you failed. For both groups; He weeps for you. So, please, for your own sake, work with Him!
Song about Christ weeping:
The attached song is almost a death knell, because it portrays either the death you think you are in if you love Jesus but don’t realize Jesus cares, or it laments the death you are actually heading to if you refuse to care to try to resist temptation and work with Christ. Solution:
If you’ve repented of your sins to God, and asked Jesus to take your death sentence for your sins, realize He has done so. Don’t let Satan kick you around like a tin can. Trust that Jesus has paid for your sins and sympathizes with your struggles and situation.
If your heart is nearly worthless, like a stone, wake up to where you’re heading, and realize you have help when it comes to resisting temptation, through Jesus! Just try, and let Jesus take your failures when you fail. The counterfeits offered by Satan are no match for the eternal pleasures waiting in Heaven! Consider the alternative! Don’t be duped!
May God Bless You!
