He Gave His Son

God's Son
God’s Son

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

God loves you immensely! He loved you before you were born. He loves you no matter who you are or what you’ve done. God wants all of us to enjoy Paradise with Him forever. But we’ve all sinned. So, He can’t let any of us in without a perfect sacrifice. God sent Jesus to be that perfect sacrifice. That’s why Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem where sacrificial lambs were raised. That’s why Jesus kept talking about His upcoming death, something His disciples didn’t want to hear. That’s why Jesus sent out His followers to spread the good news of forgiveness through Jesus’ sacrifice of Himself.

But God’s and Jesus’ immense love requires a response. At this time of the year, we see God’s Son in a manger. But Jesus wants to be in your heart and be your sacrifice too. We are afraid of God because we know deep down that He is real and deserves our love and obedience. We know we fall short. So, we don’t want to face God. We’d rather keep ourselves distracted. Remember God loves us. Remember God provided the necessary sacrifice. He gave His Son. Remember Jesus loves you too. So, respond with an apology for falling short, because God and Jesus love you and are waiting to provide forgiveness for your evil and mistakes.

9 By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.  10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10

Ask God to provide for you through that eternal sacrifice Jesus made of Himself. If you’re sincere, God will do it! He gave His Son! God loves you so very much! So, face God. Respond with faith in God and faith in His love for you. He gave His Son! Repent and make God and Christ your Lord and your Savior. That’s why Jesus came that first Christmas! God loves you! He gave His Son! Jesus loves you! He offers Himself as your sacrifice! Respond positively to their love!

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;” that is, the word of faith which we preach: 9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.” Romans 10:8-11

He’s more than just a baby in a manger! He’s a gift to you from God! He gave His Son! Accept God’s gift! Make it a Merry Christmas! And May God Bless You!
